We learned in week 1 that we would be making lots of citations over the course of the project. To make sure that we cited all of our sources correctly, we did some research on how to properly cited. We found a website that can help us cite any source that we choose to use whether it be a website, a book, a film, etc. The website is http://www.citationmachine.net/apa/cite-a-website .
The keywords that we used when we used scholarly search engines like jstor and google scholar were "engineering failures" and "structural failures", and these results were used when choosing which failures would be analyzed.
When researching, we made sure the information that we obtained in one source was correct by verifying it with another source before committing to use within our paper.
